Located in Manistee, the Ramsdell Theater has been an architectural landmark since it first opened in 1903. The theater was listed on the National Register for Historic Places in 1972.
Putting a new coat on the flagpole - 110 feet

After years of use and neglect, the building needed major attention. Private donors, businesses, social and service organizations and patrons have raised close to 4 million dollars for restorations.
Dimension Four Painting was contracted to paint the new Cupolas on the roof, as well as the crown molding on the buildings exterior.

James Earl Jones, who began his career on the Ramsdell Theater stage, has returned twice to help raise funds.
